i'm not sure if it's only when using the server, but it takes very long to load a nebula instance + program. Can i decrease the loading time or is it due ti my hardware? Will a SSD drive solve that problem?

i experienced those long loading times with NebulaServerClient + Server over lan. Server running on a windows7 pc. I was loading a session with 60 NebulaServerClient + Server at once and it took about 35 minutes (Alexb Console input). Not sure if a normal nebula3 pro instance is faster though. Also i noticed, that my 4 GB RAM got filled up by nebulaserver and the server showed only around 600MB in use. Does the server reserve ram in some way or whats going on?

yes, 4 GB on server side. I watched it in the system monitor and it got filled up but the server told me it would use only around 600MB

Now i installed a SSD drive and nebula is a bit faster. However not fast enough and i think, it's due to the sample conversation. My question is, if nebula converts the program while loading, why can't it safe the converted file somewhere so it doesn't have to convert it again? What other factors could slow down nebula? Maybe the ram? Does the memory saving function slow down as well?

now i tested programs wich do not need to be sample converted and the difference in loading time is not that much. When nebula is running already, loading a new program is relatively fast so my conclusion is, that what takes the longest to load is not the programs but nebula itself i guess. Are there maybe more aspects of nebula that could be shared between instances and have to be loaded only once? I haven't tested the loading time without server yet, i will report it.

Now i tested without server. On the PC with SSD drive which i use for the server it takes 14 seconds to load nebulareverb46(1.3.299m) + Alexb MLC Input no matter if i use local server or not. On my Client Mac with an Harddisk it takes only 6 seconds to load the same program. And on my Macbook Pro running the server it takes only 5,5 seconds and it's even faster when running windows. So something on the Pc is to slow, maybe the ram. I'm not really sure if a ssd drive makes sense if other factors slow it down too.

now i discovered the scan boot parameter and put it on "fast". Now loading time is 3 seconds instead of 14, pretty good. However it doesn't load the program list this way. Is it safe to use this mode to load a project and switch to recovery mode when i need to browse for programs? Are there other parameters which can decrease loading time? Apparently it takes a lot of time for nebula to generate the program list.
