Number of kernels on Mast page

Postby woeischris » Sat Jun 11, 2011 11:43 pm

I feel like prior to this update, 5 was the highest setting but now it's 10. Am I right or did I just have my Nebula setup wrong? It was at 5 when I opened it up after installing the latest update. I do want it at 10, right?

Cool, I don't feel crazy now. Should we save our default settings to 10 now? Will more kernels improve old libraries or do developers need to sample again?

slightly off topic...

but something has been bugging me. Why in certain programs are their variations of kernal quantities? For example in Cd Sound masters N-TEN-AT4 there are pre amps with different kernal numbers on the presets.

What advantages are there to using the higher kernal presets? Is it a more accurate representation of the hardware?
