Im on Mac so limited version...I like NRGUI tho - simple and effective - would be great if it could have 16 bit option...dithering...Mmm - Airwindows is agreat free algo - wonder if chris would let you use it?
i am using wave-editor sometimes and did not experience any difficulties. but i would suggest to let nrgui render all your samples to 32bit and let then samplemanager batchconvert your files to the desired bitrate, it has very good ditherchoices. yes i know, it is two steps instead of one, but it seems to me the cleanest way to do it, with your programs.
system 1: windows 8 32 bit - samplitude prox/x3, tracktion6/7, reaper system 2: mac osx yosemite - reaper(32+64bit), tracktion6/7(32+64bit)
both systems on: macbook pro (late 2009), core 2 duo 3,06 ghz, 4 gb ram, graphic: nvidia geforce 9600M GT 512 MB
I had a helluva time trying to use Sample Manager and Nebula and finally gave up. Started getting weird glitches in the audio files, and other issues which meant I would have to listen to each file all the way through for anomalies.
I think at one point after filing a bug report the dev's said they were going to hit up Giancarlo, but that was ages ago.
Sample Manager and Nebula are not friendly with each other, AU or VST version when batch processing. I emailed Audiofile Engineering and they did email me back to investigate, but I've been too bust to persue. In other words, you are not alone.
