Nebula and Audiofile Engineering Sample Manager - Batch?

Postby SWAN » Thu Jun 09, 2011 12:23 pm

Im trying to use Neb with Sample Manager...why? Because NRGUI is creating 32 bit files and I am trying to batch render for a sample instrument I want to keep in 16bit...

However Nebula does not seem to run in it - when I try to process SM gives me the error : Error in connection...however - it processes fine with other plugs....

Anyone used Sample Manager successfully? Got latest Neb update...Sample manager 3.33

Thanks

Does Audiofile Engineering Sample Manager support side chain based into 4 audio streams?

NRGUI PRO has an option for 24bit PCM output.
It would be easy to implement 16bit support, except dithering thing...

It will tell you in the DISK page what version you're using. The latest is 1.3.492 I think.

i am using wave-editor sometimes and did not experience any difficulties.
but i would suggest to let nrgui render all your samples to 32bit and let then samplemanager batchconvert your files to the desired bitrate, it has very good ditherchoices.
yes i know, it is two steps instead of one, but it seems to me the cleanest way to do it, with your programs.

I had a helluva time trying to use Sample Manager and Nebula and finally gave up. Started getting weird glitches in the audio files, and other issues which meant I would have to listen to each file all the way through for anomalies.

I think at one point after filing a bug report the dev's said they were going to hit up Giancarlo, but that was ages ago.

ok thanks guys...

I think for now I will use NRGUI + Sample Manager to dither...SM is a very quick process so its not the end of the world...

Sample Manager and Nebula are not friendly with each other, AU or VST version when batch processing. I emailed Audiofile Engineering and they did email me back to investigate, but I've been too bust to persue.
In other words, you are not alone.
