New computer question:

Postby CrankyChris » Fri Jun 03, 2011 6:50 pm

Seeing as the weekend is upon us and I'm getting a new computer tonight, can I simply copy the existing Nebula folder structure to my new machine? Or do I need to reinstall/re-do the whole .ser file thing and get the .exe that activates Nebula.....?

I'm assuming you guys take the weekend off -> i was hoping I could do something before next week.

Thanks

You'll need to generate a new .SER file and get a new license so don't just try to copy them over, probably won't work.

I think what you can do is, after you get that taken care of, copy over your .N2P and .N2V files so you don't necessarily have to reinstall every library.

I was hoping my new machine would be delivered today but I'll have to wait until Monday. But I'll be in the same boat, here; why did we wait until Nebula went on vacation to buy new computers?? =)

Damn it. Same thing happened when I installed last time.

Ughh. You'd think this process could be a little more automated.

Thanks for the heads up.

You MUST install one setup for OS files. If you install Nebula files in the same folders you can move it your old files to the new HDD but you should not copy INIT files from old HDD, keep with demo ones that install setup and run Nebula once to generate a new .SER file then request a new key to Acustica Audio.
