I'm having serious issues with my reinstall

Postby nlesca » Thu May 05, 2011 10:12 am

Ok, let me break it down for you:

I got an SSD and installed W7 on it (previousely I was using vista from my regular HD)...

I reinstalled Nebula on C: (SSD) but choosed my older nebulatempdepository (drive G: or something) thinking it would work and requested a new key...

Installed the new key but it didnt work properlly...

So I desinstalled nebula and did a regular install on C: (with nebulatempdepository on c:)

and the edited the xml in the vst folder to point it to my old nebulatempdepository (the one with all my stuff inside)... of course I ditched the old stuff (apart from the programs and vectors folders and replaced it with a copy from the new nebulatempdepository

But it still does not work,

it's stuck at:

3 ROM MEMORY ko: rom descriptor not found (rom.xml)

the rom.xml is in it's default location: inside the setups folder (there's one inside the nat folder too)...so yea I'm kind of lost here, could use some help!

Thanks in advance guys!

check the folder DATAPATH in your nebula3.xml and nebula3 reverb.xml
it should point to a folder where a "setup" folder is located, and inside a file named "rom.xml"

Thanks Giancarlo, yes, having installed nebual succesfully before I'm aware of that process and did it...

In other words both nebula and nebulareverb xml's (inside ths vst folder) are edited like this:

<DATAPATH> G:\nebulatemprepository </DATAPATH>

Of course on drive G: there's my nebulatemprepository with the setups folder that have the rom.xml inside...

That part is correct already... that's why I'm not able to figure out where's my issue... anything I should chek?

Thanks Giancarlo, you was right: I had my older install on the other drive where I still have vista, I erased it, reinstalled and now it works. thanks.
