New Hard drive- Reauthorize Neb??

Postby richie43 » Sat Jun 23, 2012 6:39 am

I had to install a new HD on my back-up DAW. I didn't reinstall the OS and apps, I cloned the old drive and installed the drive. So far the computer behaves as before, but I am wondering if I need to reauthorize Nebula... How can I tell? I removed the ser and aut file (saved them) and loaded a Neb instance and it didn't generate a new ser file. Am I missing something? Can I just put the old ser and aut file in since it is still the same install, or do I need to reauthorize since the HD is a different kind, even with the cloned image? Thanks!!

Edit;
I did uninstall and reinstall Nebula, and upon loading it, it does not generate a new ser file.

Hi Richie,

I would think that if you put your original ser file in ... when you launch Nebula, you should see the registration info on the MAST page [i believe].

also ... when you load your commercial libs, you'll know!

Things seem to load fine, so I guess no worries. It's just odd that I have not put the ser file back and it is not creating one. Even the fussy copy protected AITB libraries authorized ok. I guess I have no problem, I just wanted to make sure.

New HDD = New Key request due a new .SER file with different number will generated by Nebula. Check if Acustica Audio library loads.

Acustica Audio library? You mean one of the libraries that come with Nebula I assume? Like I said, I reinstalled Nebula and loaded an instance and it did not generate a ser file.....

just send the new ser file. Ser file changes only if your c harddrive changes...

Hey Giancarlo. Did you read the posts? LOL. My question has to do with the fact that it has not generated a ser file AND I did not put the old one in either.
