New Trim Mode

Postby david1103 » Fri Apr 08, 2011 4:27 pm

looks like excellent news in the new version:

Relased 1.3.478

* support for trim mode. New libraries with a single slider for input/output adjustments (for example console libraries) will take advantage of this feature

it seems the feature we have all been asking for has been delivered!

my question is, can developers easily update their existing librarys to get this additional function?

Can they just release a new Program file? if so, i really hope all the developers will rush and do this ASAP for all programs so everyone can enjoy this major workflow improvement! :)

THANKS for sorting it out :D

And same question that a couple of weeks ago :
If 3rd party program developer have to modify their libraries,
Does skin developer have to do it too, or we'll just have to tweak the "input" knob for the "output" one to move automatically ?

In other words: Do both developers (program AND skin) have to rework on their creation ?

OK so skin dev. don't have to do nothing. We can still use our existing skins. That's a job for program dev.

Is this new trim mode the same as the input/output pads in
the glob/edit page?

so is this basically automatic compensation that boosts output if you cut input and vice versa? if so that's pretty sweet, and i've always thought that all plugins with distortion should have that.
