Another 64bit question

Postby richie43 » Thu Apr 07, 2011 8:31 pm

Ok you gurus, help! I have been using Nebula 32bit in Reaper 32bit and have many, many Reaper presets for Nebula. I am moving over to all 64bit and am wondering if I can still use these presets but have them open with the Nebula 64bit. As of now, these presets open in Reaper 64bit with the 32bit Nebula that they were saved in. Or do I need to reconstruct and save these again using Nebula 64bit? Thanks in advance.

I think if you use them (which you should be able to) it will bridge them as 32bit plugins (the FX chain saves pretty much everything about the state of the plugin). So if you're wanting to instantiate 64bit Nebula instances, I think you would really have to have set them up that way originally.

It's possible that you could trick REAPER by renaming the 64bit Nebula dll exactly the same as the 32 bit one was; I'm not sure if the state info that the FX chain saves is compatible/identical, though, or how it would react to that state information.

Already did, and yes he is a Reaper guru! The solution IS renaming the dll's and xml files.
