3 tcp connections per server instance?

Postby savvy@durango.net » Wed Apr 06, 2011 10:40 pm

Whenever I use an instance of server, it is creating 3 tcp connections between the server and client per instance. For example, if I were to use 2 instances of a Doc Fear EQ via server, it would create 6 tcp connections.

I just wanted to make sure this is expected behavior.

Thanks

yes it's perfectly normal. The first tcp is the process (data) connection, the second one is for gui and all other gui-related stuff + parameters. The third one is dedicated to preset loading and it's reserved to other scopes (more or less deactivated). It happens also for pipe mode (3 named pipe connections).
