there is a bug in mac osx version, so local server doesn't work perfectly in AU and sometimes server version is giving issues. I need a bit of bug hunting.
In the meanwhile we are releasing nebula server for windows. My idea is the following one: we sell a SERVER version and not the LOCALSERVER version for a limited time at the price of LOCALSERVER version. So you'll be customer "nebula server" and not just "nebula local server".
Now. Nebula local server should cost initially 39 eur but it will be priced later around 50 eur. Nebula server should cost around 50 eur and it will be priced later around 100 eur. Price of nebula3 pro should be rised to around 150 eur. So the final situation should be
3 pro -> 149 (approx) 3 local server -> 188 (approx) 3 server -> 250 (approx)
but current situation will be
3 pro -> 119 (actual price) 3 server -> 168 so that the difference is priced 49.
so if you buy now you'll have a server version and not simply a localserver and the value of your product will be higher when prices will be raised. On the other side we can't guarantee it's completely bug free, I hope you test nebula3 free accurately before and I hope you are relaxed if something doesn't work immediatly.
We'll release a 49 eur upgrade (I believe) today. Remember this simple rule: no authorization, it's an upgrade. Type correctly the datapath. But if you downloaded libraries time ago and you are currently using a 32 bits version IT'S POSSIBLE you should download and install commercial libraries again (x64 version). No issues for 3rd party libraries.
Tell me what you think about it, I think it's fair.
yes - I don't know exactly... for sure this year. A fair price with nebula today would be around 149. Infact 3rd party libraries are a lot better than before, our service was improved a lot (website, bug fixes, installers) and computers are powerful enough for starting a fair number of instances. It's true you'll open 400 instances in 2015 (moore law) but today things are lot better than in 2007 (I remember 5-6 instances on the most powerful computer available).
