Still can't get the side chaining to work properly in sonar X1c.

Sonar X1c sees input 2 from Nebula so you can insert it as a send for side chaining but Nebula does not seem to be getting any signal comming into the side chain input.

I desprately need advice to get side chaining in Nebula working.

Ps. I already know how to do side chaining in sonar with other vst comps

Thanks Mplay I apreciate your support, but I've seen this video already and it does not show how to do sidechaining in Nebula. It only show sidechaining in some other comps which I already know how to do.

I am thinking i need to switch something on in nebula in other for it to actually hear the sidechaining signal or at least respond to it.

Thanks again

This in in Reaper, but I saved this from another forum person. It is a quick and simple side-chain video.

Thanks Riche43. Pls don't get me wrong, I already know how to do side chaining in Sonar.

The problem is that Nebula appears to only be making an input available to sonar sidechain, but Nebula is not responding to the side chaining signal.

It appears that in the video you posted, the output signal from reaeq was routed to a separate input signal into Nebula.

I've been thinking that this is what I need to do but I cannot see anyway of accsessing the other pair of inputs into Nebula.

Are you using a preset which has sidechaining engaged? Channels 3/4 are the sidechain channels. Here is how you can create your own Nebula sidechain programs:
http://www.acustica-audio.com/forum/ind ... =viewtopic

All presets are already available, they have an 's' on the end of their name:

The AlexB comps include the sidechain presets. Here are the sidechain presets for all updated rhytminmind compressors:

Here are the ones for AITB snap and Transcendingaudio Drawher and the older compressors

Yes I am using the presets with the side chain enabled. I have the 4kd comps and I have been trying to using the presets with the s at the end. Whenever I do this, I notice that the changes I make to the attack, release and treshold have no effect at all on the sound being compressed even whin I put the treshold way down to the bottom. Only the make up gain works.

I have no options to choose different inputs as sonar only sees "(input 2)" for the side chain.
