yes it's a small bug, but that keywords are a good way for fixing it, and they are compatible with future releases. Imho it's better if you ENABLE sidechain instead of a default setting, because otherwise a lot of old host could crash or not display nebula at all by default

yes, it's INVERTED. It's a bug, I forgot a "NOT" operator. Keep it in that way till next upgrade, I'm sorry for that.

Does what im doing here look right/make sense to the nebula reaper experts:
Rightclick the track containing the master mix volume slider, change Track channels to 4:Image
I normally add 3 fx, a ‘master’ glue, the sidechain filter and the sidech comp; Image
Image
Click the filter sidechain plug-in pin connector:
Image
Set the output to go to 3/4: Image
Done. The more you filter the sidechain, in this case the higher the high-pass filter - the less bass compression is heard... & the less gain reduction you see applied in voxengo span.
Is everyone doing this?

It could well be possible but I haven't been able to use the master track for this because I can't find how to send channels 3/4 to the master track, so I set up a track as buss and send everything to it using two sends, one for channel 1/2 and one for channel 3/4 (I usually just put the entire track in a folder and create the two sends from that folder to the buss). For the plugins that effect the sidechain channels you only need them to have input and output on channels 3/4, so you can remove the input from channel 1/2. I also use the js delay/time_adjustment to put some pre-delay on channels 3/4 to create a lookahead function.

I've added a track template

Just to add, I also like to use the 3band splitter to make a Nebula multiband compressor

@sneaky:

Yes, that looks OK. You don't really need a 3/4 input because it just needs to "hear" what's coming through 1/2 and send it via 3/4, just like you did.

@Mplay:

Click on the I/O window in your Master and create a new hardware send from 3/4 to 1/2 (your main outs).

Oh, by the way, if you remove the 1/2 input from the sidechain filter it won't be able to "hear" the signal and it won't filter anything.

@ mercado: I knew there had to be an easier way :D (but if you do it my way, you of course do need to remove the input from channel 1/2 of the filter)

Yes, you're right (because you're creating 2 separate sends, that's correct).

hmmm actually, why do you want to use 3/4 in the Master Track? Is it because you want to use sidechain in the Master? If that's the case then just do what sneaky did: insert a filter before nebula, tick 1/2 for inputs and 3/4 for outputs, done :)

I don't know why, but it never occurred to me I could route the audio to a different channel with the routing of the effect. I agree your way is a lot easier and does everything I would need. I was just happy I got it working :D
