Who likes the DRIVE knob?

Postby burnsound » Fri Feb 11, 2011 12:17 am

When I first started to use Nebula, I thought the DRIVE parameter made stuff sound a bit unnatural, so I haven't used it for a while.

Lately though, I've started to like how it sounds with as much as a boost of 15 (not sure what the units are).
But I only like it with some programs. Mostly I've noticed that it sounds pretty nice with any of the vintage N**e stuff. Also sounds cool with the Room Hunters stuff. And most tube gear.

Any thoughts on the DRIVE knob? Does anybody ever use it to cut?

i most of the time drive the Tapebooster more than 10. The most important thing is the input level to the plugin. If you set that right, you can get away with quite amount of drive before nebula starts to fart out.

I like the drive on the Bogen, VCult (6-10), and the new radio programs very pleasantly drive too, even with the 3 kernel versions.
