How to optimize your computer for Nebula products

Product(s): Nebula3 FREE, Nebula3, Nebula3 Pro, Nebula3 Server.
OS(s): Windows, OSX.
Plug-in format(s): VST, AU.
Plug-in architecture(s): 32 bits, 64 bits.


1. INTRODUCTION
Acustica Audio products will require more resources than other similar products in the market. It is important to check and test your computer system before buy and/or use our products. We publish and update minimum and computer requirements, and the list of supported audio/video host every year.
Keep in mind several products has a trial or free version in order to test sound quality and resources performance before purchase, but also, we recommend to run a load and consumption test in order to realize the overall computer system performance.

2. CHECK BEFORE BUY
- Check minimum computer requirements in FAQ.
- Check recommended computer requirements in FAQ.
- Check the list of supported audio/video host.
- Try Trial/FREE version first.
- Run a measure Nebula CPU load and consumption test. Guide here: viewtopic.php?f=39&t=28939.

3. OPTIMIZE YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM
Although your computer system is already optimized, we recommend to not use asleep or hibernate features and reboot your computer system before audio/video work.

3.1. Important optimization for Mac/OSX and PC/Windows
- Use a user account with administrator privileges.
- Run audio/video host with administrator privileges.
- Disable any anti-malware or anti-virus.
- Disable Enhanced Intel Speed Step or AMD PowerNow! in processor performance setting.
- Disable power options and avoid computer to sleep or hibernate.
- Check your audio interface and audio/video host buffer settings.
- Disable ASIO guard in Steinberg products.

3.2. Important optimization for Mac/OSX only
