Honey - Preview  3D

Honey2 is intended for professional audio use in recording, mixing and mastering applications. This plug-in is carefully crafted from the EQ channel module and output stage of a prestigious '70s console. Honey2 provides four overlapping proportional-Q peaking bands. Each band has fully sweepable frequency and Gain controls and an EQ in/out switch. The low and high bands can be switched from peak to shelf mode, and also the celebrated high/low pass filters of the original console are available. Finally, to add some extra color and warmth, preamp and VCA/Output stages can be inserted in the signal path. Additional “digital only” features not present in the original hardware include input trim, Input/Output meters and a global power switch.


  • Output gain controls the output level.
  • The MIC-PRE button enables (lamp ON) or bypasses (lamp OFF) the preamp stage of Honey.
  • The VCA MAIN OUT button enables (lamp ON) or bypasses (lamp OFF) the VCA stage of Honey.
  • BYPASS button sets to bypass the plug-in (lamp ON) ) or not-bypasses (lamp OFF)
  • Input Trim:  This knob sets the input level from -24dB to +24dB, and is used to control the signal level inside the eq, the output level is than automatically compensated by the same amount of gain. At the first execution of the plug-in, input is set to ensure that you feed an appropriate level from the first stage of your signal path to the final one.
  • INPUT – OUTPUT LED METER measure the input (upper meter) and output (lower meter) levels of the plug-in.
Each band is controlled independently by an identical set of controls; sections are Low Frequency, Mid Frequency 1, Mid Frequency 2 and High Frequency, each section has controls for:
  • Frequency
  • Cut/Boost

In addition there are two buttons for low and high band that enable shelf mode.

Here the list of available frequencies for each band:

  • Low Frequency: from 35Hz to 620Hz;
  • Mid Frequency 1: from 200Hz to 3200Hz;
  • Mid Frequency 2: from 400Hz to 6400Hz;
  • High Frequency: from 800Hz to 14kHz;

Cut/Boost (dB):

  • Cut/boost values range from -12dB to 12dB.

High and Low cut filters:

  • High Cut Frequency: from 25Hz to 2100Hz;
  • Low Cut Frequency: from 500Hz to 26kHz;

Sampling rate

  • 44,1 kHz
